As the 2020 World Series starts, I begin to think. How do you live knowing individuals once viewed you as three fifths of a man from the moment you stepped in America, unwillingly. After 300 years of forced labor as a slave, you’re banned from participating in everyday activities & sports that make you feel human. Forcing you to create your own world filling that void.
The “League Of Our Own” Capsule Collection is inspired by African Descendants and their hunger to create their own baseball league during the Jim Crow era. A toast to a hundred years.
